A very -pretty wedding was ’held at St. Vincent de Paul's church, this village, Monday (morning -at -half past eight o'clock, when Mrs. Estelle Blum became (the wife of Mr. Thomas Gere, of -Syracuse. Rev. {Father Bellamy, of 'Watertown, in the absence of Father Byrnes, officiated, the ceremony being followed fby a nuptial mass. The bride wore a suit of nile green silk with hat to match, and- .the groom wore the conventional .suit of black. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Couch, of Syracuse, 1a sister of the -groom, was gowned in blue isil'k, with hat to match. {Her husband, Mr. Couch, was -the .best man. Miss Helen iStumpf presided at the organ, and Miss Mar-. gairet .Stumpf sang “0 Promise Me as the bridal party entered the church.After the ceremony and hearty congratulations, the wedding party motored ito the home of Mr. -and Mrs. Peter Wiley, -Wilson Settlement, Mrs. Wiley being the mother of the bride, where the wedding breakfast was served-The wedding trip includes Boston, New York and other cities, after which the newly -wedded couple will ■make thedr residence in Syracuse.The bride has a large circle of friends in Cape^ Vincent and Ro-siere and is deservedly popular. The groom is a traveling salesman for A. Ethridge Co., of Rome, and highly esteemed -by very many in the North Country. The numerous wedding gifts -give evidence of the high regard in which Mr. and Mrs. Gere are held.
