Grandson ofM. A. Pottroffswed in MissouriMiss Linda Rosser and Merton Bancroft were united in marriage at First Christian Church in Buffalo, Mo,, Saturday evening, June 15. The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Melvin Rosser of Hannibal, Mo., and the bridegroom is the son of Mr and Mrs Walter Bancroft of Buffalo. He is the grandson of Mr and Mrs M. A. Pottroff of Jefferson.The Rev. Harold Mayes per-for med the double ring cere mony. Mrs Clyde Montgomery was organist and Miss Caroline Tucker vocalist.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length traditional gown of white lace and organza over taffeta, with a chapel train. Her elbow length veil of illusion was held by a petal headpiece, and she carried a bouquet of white carnationsandMarguerite daisies.Miss Nancy Darnell of Willow Springs, Mo., was maid of honor, and Miss Peggy Rosser, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. They wore dresses of white lace over mint green taffeta, and carried bouquets of white and yellow daisies.William Jenkins of Springfield, Mo., attended the bridegroom as best man, and Danie Hughes was groomsman. Richard Rosser and Cleve Bancroft, brothers of the bride and bridegroom, were ushers.Following the ceremony, a reception was held in Fellowship Hall of the church. The bridefs table was covered with a white lace tablecloth which was crocheted by the great-grandmother of the bridegroom. A five-tiered wedding cake centered the table, and was flanked by candles.The couple will reside at Springfield, Mo., while completing their senior year at SMS College.The bridegroom spent last summer in Jefferson, working with his grandfather here. The Pottroffs attended their grandson’s wedding and spent the weekend in Buffalo. Also attending the wedding from here were Mr and Mrs Clifford Pottroff and children.
