Rapport—Cantor Vows Read Parents HonorPage 8, The Daily Reporter, Dover, O, Saturday, Jane 26, 1965Rabbi Nathan Jacobson and Cantor Phillip Kirshner were officiants for the single ring ceremony read Sunday, June 20, when Dolores Miriam Rapport became the bride of Neil Lynn Cantor.Dolores is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rapport of 622 Fair av. NW, New Philadelphia and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cantor of Cleveland Heights.The vows were exchanged in Sharray Torah Synagogue at Canton. White gladiolus, blue delphinium and green bows on white 3-branch candelabra on the pews marked the bridal aisle.A canopy over the altar was covered with blue and white flowers.Wayne Purdue was vocal so loist and Gordon Shaffer was organist and their selections included Because and True Love and the traditional wedding marches.Mr. Rapport gave his daughter in marriage. ^The bride’s empire style, floor-length gown of Irish silk linen was fashioned with short sleeves and a detachable chapel train. Horizontal panels of Venice lace detailed the skirt and outlined the sleeves and hemline of the gown and train.Her elbow - length imported silk illusion bridal veil was caught to a crown of Venice lace and she carried a cascade of forsythia and ivy centered with a white orchid.Mrs. Donald J. (Anna) Lang-man of New Philadelphia, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and was attired in a blue crepe and lace floor - length gown designed with an empire waistline accented at the back with blue satin rosettes sprinkled with seed pearls.White kid gloves, a gift from the bride, completed her ensemble and she carried a cascade arrangement of blue and white asters, forsythia and ivy.The bride’s other sister, Sharon Rapport, a cousin, Bernice Brody of Brooklyn, and a friend Bonnie Kaufman of Cleveland, were bridesmaids and their gowns were identical to that worn by the matron of honor.Phillip Gressel of Madison, Wise., was best man and ushers were Nelson Gurney of Cleveland Heights, cousin of the bridegroom, and Richard Streem and Jerry Kustin of University Heights, and Gerald Adelstein of Cleveland. w The bride’s niece, Judith lleen Langman of New Philadelphia. and the bridegroom’s cousin, Beth Ann Morgenstern of Shaker Heights, were flower girls. Their white dotted Swiss dresses were accented with blue velvet ribbons at the empire waistlines which extended into skirt - length streamers.Each wore a small dotted Swiss head scarf accented withMrs. Neil L. Cantor(Jaffe photo)blue bows and carried baskets of blue and white flowers andivy.The bride’s nephew, Michael Steven Langman of New Philadelphia, carried the rings on a white satin pillow.With her floor - length gown of pink crepe the bride’s mother wore white accessories and had a corsage of cymbidium orchids. The bridegroom’s mother chose a floor-length blue, beaded gown and she, too, had white accessories and an orchid corsage.The bridegroom’s grandmoth er, Mrs. A. H. Staltman attended the wedding and had a corsage of cymbidium orchids.Dinner w'as served at a reception in the synagogue and the table was covered with a light blue linen cloth and centered with blue flowers and greens and lighted wdth white candles.The bride’s table had similar appointments but was covered with a blue organdy cloth.The Wayne Purdue orchestra played for dancing. ^For a honeymoon trip to the Catskill Mountains the bride chose a black and white linen, 3-piece suit with black patent accessories and the orchid from her bridal bouquet.The bride, a 1961 graduate of New Philadelphia High, attended Ohio State University and was graduated this springs by Dyke Spenserian College in Cleveland. She is employed as an executive secretary with Mobile Oil there.The bridegroom attended Ohio State University and will begin his senior year in the College of Dentistry at Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He is a member of Alpha Omega, professional fraternity.The bridegroom's parents w'ere hosts for a rehearsal dinner in the Downtowner Motor Inn at Canton.The couple now is residing in 19750 Euclid av., Apt. 105, Euclid.Twig Members Attend PicnicMrs. Kenneth Ashcraft, Mrs. William Brown, Mrs. Karl Stein-baugh and Mrs. Carol Totten were hostesses for a recent meeting of Twig 8 of Union Hospital Auxiliary.Ten members and a guest, Mrs. Beatrice Milinski, attended the event which was a covered dish dinner at the Tottens’ Atwood Glenns cottage.Following dinner the evening was spent in conversation.Cheryl GraefMr. and Mrs. James F. Graef of 111 W. 13th St., entertained recently for their daughter, Cheryl, who was observing her 10th birthday.The girls met at Cheryl’s home and hiked to Dover park where they played games.
