Miss Betty Carolyn Miller became the bride of Claude Emory Terry Jr. in a ceremony performed Saturday night at the North Cleveland Church of God. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milford Miller of Cleveland. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Claude E. Terry, of Gumming, Ga.The Rev. James L. Slay of Chattanooga officiated, assisted by the Rev. Flovd Timmerman. Music for the nuptials was provided by Hal Green, organist and Mrs. Garnett Davis and Lloyd McLain, soloists.The bride who was given in marriage by her father wore a wedding gown of imported rose point lace over taffeta and net. fashioned with hand-clipped scallop ed Sabrina neckline, brief sleeves and lace yoke sprinkled with irides cent sequins and seed pearls. A narrow hand of white taffetta with bow in front formed the empire bodice and extended in back with streamers to hemline of the bouffant skirt. A tiered illusion veil, chapel-length, was draped from a scalloped tiara of lace embellished with sequins and seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis.Miss Linda Faye Miller served as her sister’s maid of honor. She wore a petal pink afternoon length gown, sheath type of organza over taffeta, styled with modified off-shoulder neckline and crushed cummerbund draped in back to form an overskirt. i s’MBridesmaids were Mrs. Donal Ricks, sister of the bridgegroom, of Atlanta; Mrs. Thomas Turner of Chattanooga. Misses Brenda Hewitt, Clarice Miller, Patricia At-chley and Wanda Bryant of Cleveland. The junior bridesmaid was Helen Faye Miller, who also wore a petal pink silk organza whichwas fashioned with modified off-sboulder neckline and bouffant skirt. The bridesmaids wore iden-l tical gowns of nile green silk organza and carried bouquets of rose-colored carnations outlined I with petal pink. Their headdresses were tiaras of iridescent hair braid with brow veils.Richard Drummon of Durham N. C., served as his brother’s best 1 man. Groomsmen were Donald : Ricks of Atlanta, Julian Palmer of Rome. Allen Gross, Eddie Cartwright. R. A. Mosely and Albert Taylor of Cleveland.The mother of the bride was attired in powder blue lace over taffeta with matching accessories and white carnation corsage. Mrs. Terry chose a rose-colored lacegown over silk with white accessories and white carnation corsage.Following the ceremony a reception was given at the Cherokee Hotel by Mr. and Mrs. Miller. Miss Wanda Sellers kept the bride’s book. Assisting were Misses Janice Morehead, Judy Mitchel, Willene Ledford, Elizabeth Pannel and Mrs. Robert Holloway.For her honeymoon, Mrs. Terry chose a fitted pink and white silk cotton dress with white accessories and a white orchid corsage.After a brief wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Terry will be at home at 325 Central Ave..
