Wed To Verlin Dean Heuton In CaliforniaMarried Saturday, June 23, at Claremont, Calit., were Miss Mary Ann Merritt, daughter of Mr and Mrs Lee Raymond Merritt of San Gabriel’, Calif., and Verlin Dean Heuton, son of Mrs Edna Heuton of Jefferson.The ceremony took place inBridges Hall of Music. The Rev Dr«W, Robert Rankin, pastor of College church, associated colleges of Claremont, officiated at the candlelight evening ceremony.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of dupione silk fashioned with a scoop neckline bordered with alencon lace, full skirt and a sweep train. A crotfn of net and seed pearls held her veil of French illusion. She carried an arrangement of white oses and stephanotis.Mrs Harry Lund of Westwood, 3alif., was her matron of honor ind Mrs Richard Da Pont of Mex-co City, Mexico, and Miss Doris Stine of Alhambra, Calif., were her ther attendants. Their nylon tulle 'owns featured shirred bodices and Cull, waltz-length skirts. Their flowers were cascades of carnations.Bill Osborne of Jefferson was best man. Lyle Reynolds of. Cccnp-ton, Calif., cousin of the bride, andHarry Lund of Westwood, Calif ushered.Dr William G. Blanchard wa organist and Mrs Norman Tayloi soloist.A reception for 150 guests wa held at Mudd Hall, Pomona college Claremont.The. couple left on a weddin trip to norther California an will be at home after July 15 a 4592 DeLand St., Pico, Calif.Mrs Heuton, a graduate of Po mona college, where she was affi liatcd with Mortar Board, women honorary society, did graduate wor at Syracuse university, Syraeusi N.Y. Mr Heuton, a Jefferson Hig school and Morningside graduat also did graduate work in guidanc and counseling at Syracuse.Mrs Heuton was present froi Jefferson for her son’s wedding.
