Miss Eulalia Mims became the bride of. -Charles Abel Strickland Monday afternoon, June 22 the New Shiloh Baptist Church when Rev T. F Callaway performed the impressive ceremony, assisted by Hev. D. T. Cox.Decorations of pines, smilax, wjiite gladiolae and lillies were used in the ...church, which was lighted by groups of white candelabra.The bride entered on the arm of her brother, Harry C. Mims Who gave her in marriage. She wore a gown of ice blue lace with light b*ue accessories and a seed pearl necklace. Miss Mims carried a prayer book to which a pink-throated white orchid had been affixed.% Her maid of honor was Miss Cathryn Connell, wearing a laven-dar nylott dress with white accessories. Her flowers were white rose buds and tuberoses.Mr. Strickland was attended by Floyd H. Searcy, who served as his best man. E. Paul Joiner and Ansel Frohberg acted as ushers.Karl Conradi and Miss KathleenRedfern provided the music for the service with Mr. Conradi singing “O Promise Me” and, at the close oi the ceremony, “The Lord's 'Prayer” with Miss Redfern as accompanist.A . reception Was held complimenting the bridal couple immediately after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. J. Olin Redfern. Mr. and Mrs. Redfern entertained a number offriends and relative* at the de-lightful affair.Mr and Mr*. Strickland left Immediately after the reception for a honeymoon trip Into the mountains of North Carolina and Ten-nesate. They will make their home on Euclid Drive after July 0. The groom is prominent in the business field here, being president of Rose Klat-Foods, Inc.The bride la the daughter of the late William Marvin andF. Mims of this city. Mr. Strickland, a native of Oreenaboro, Fla. is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. M R.
