A very pretty double wedding took place at the home of Mr. and ; Mrs. George Jones on Wednesday,! June lath, when their two daughters, Luolla and Sadie. were united • in the holy bands of matrimony j to Mr. Tom Heathers, of C hats-worth and Mr. George Hay» of . Dornoch. At half past **** the , grooms took their places under a | beautiful arch in the parlor, and immediately after to the strains or Lohengrin’s Bridal chorus, playeo by Miss Zumaoh of Williamsford. the two brides entered, leaning on tha arms of their grandfather, Mr. Coon. The ceremony was performed bv Hew. S. Stevenson, m the presence of a large number oi friends and relatives. After many congratulations the -guests partook of the dainty wedding repast The guests spent the evening in music game an ancingAt exactly \ o’clock on the same ; afternoon Mr James Buchanan and i i M iss Margaret Corlett Johnston i were united in the holy bonds of I 1 matrimonyThe bride who was unattended was given awav by her brother. Mr. John Johnston, of Chicago,’ and she looked very becoming in a white silk voile dress and wreath of orange blossoms.The guests numbering about fifty sat down to a dainty wedding , feast, and the evening ,was spent in games music etc.The happy couple left on Friday for their home near Paisley.We congratulate all the young people who have launehed on the matrimonial sea and hope the voyage through Itfc may be all smooth sailing.
