Wedding of Miss Hicks and Mr,Sta utar.St. Joseph's church was twice the scene of happiness Wednesday for there were two weddings celebrated within Its port.uls, The second of thesewas the marriage of Miss Mary AgnesHicks and Mr. Janies A. Mr. Ben Toolman and Mr. Ed drove leading the way. followed by Mr. Ralph Knoles and Mr. JoeHyde.The bride's younger sister. Miss Bessie Hicks, preceded her as she crime with her only brother. Mr. James Hicks and was met at the altar by the groom and bis best man, Mr. JohnGab.As the love knot was tied the soft strains of “Melody of Love’’ were 'heard.frame * 1 la t e 1 y to 11 o w ing t he cere mon y the bridal party was driven to Mrs. James; IX Hicks* residence, when an Informal reception was held in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Slanter. The bride was charming in her wedding gown of soft white satin, with shadow lace, while her fair hair was crowned with the veil of chiffon and orange blossoms, her bouquet being pure bride’s roses.The maid of honor. Miss Bessie Hicks, was gowned in white lingerie, with a rose sash and a band of pink for her brunette hair, while bride’s-maid roses formed her bouquet.Delicious cream and cakes, with punch, were served during the evening and the fortunate guests had the pleasure of admiring the many beautiful presents on display.Mr. and Mrs. St a u ter are now in their own new home on Lexington avenue, just north of St. Stephens Road, where they are enjoying an idealu0 a is a in ia m a: ^ ^
