Miss Deon Godfrey Becomes June Bride of Garth H. Turner in Idaho Falls Temple RitesThe Idaho Falls LDS Temple was the scene of a double ring ceremony that united Miss Deon Godfrey and Garth H. Turner in marriage June 5. 1964 with Clarence Johnson, temple recorder. officiating.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Godfrey of Idaho Falls, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Elnora Turner of Bedford. Wyo.The newlyweds were honored at a reception June 6 in the 'Bedford Ward recreation hall, which was decorated with lavender. purple and white iris.The bride was lovely in her wedding gown that featured a lace bodice, scalloped neckline and long sleeves. The gown was of nylon tulle which featured three tiers etched with French provincial lace. Her veil was of bridal illusion net w'ith a tiara of pearls and rhinestones. She carried a bouquet that featured a hybrid orchid and carnations.Mrs. Allan Murdock was matron of honor and Miss Rolene Godfrey was maid of honor. Both were dressed in gowns of purnle nite lite with scalloped neckline and sleeves. Their flowers were giant purple mums flanked with gladiolus petals.Bridesmaids were Mrs. LaVar Godfrey. Mrs. Arvin Godfrey, Miss Florence Wilding and Miss Karma Smith. All wore gowns of lavender nite lite with scalloped neckline and sleeves. They carried bouquets of giant whiteEngagement AnnouncedMr. and Mrs. Jay L. Hepworth of Rexburg. Idaho announce the engagement of their daughter,f i A m - 1 . r . ^ 4 t »__mums flanked by gladiolus petals.Best man for the occasion was Lowell Turner, and master of ceremonies for the program was Wendle Turner.The bride's mother was dressed in a mint green satin brocade sheath, and the groom’s mother w’ore a mint green cotton eyelet shtiath. Both wore corsages of lavender and w-hite carnations.Assisting with the gifts were Opal. Marilyn and Nancy Turner. Myrna Garrett was in charge of the guest book.The program consisted of piano solos by Bertha Turner and Myrna Garrett; vocal solos by Ludema Barnes and Marva Lou Heiner; and an accordion solo by Mrs. Wendle Turner.The newlyweds honeymooned in southern Utah, visiting the national parks in that area. The bride chose a white linen sheath trimmed with red. and with red patent accessories for her going away outfit.The bride is a graduate of Brigham Young University and has taught school in Salt Lake City for five years. She served a mission to the eastern states.The groom served in the Great Lakes Mission for the LDS Church, and is now employed as a wilder at IMCO. Inc. in Af-ton.They are making their home at Turnerville, Wyo.Out of town guests attending the reception included Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Godfrey, Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Godfrey. Rolene Godfrey. Vernon Godfrey. Florence Wilding, Karma Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Murdock, all of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Godfrey of Idaho Falls.
