Britt-SpragueAlison Yvonne Sprague and Anthony Pay well Britt were married at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, in the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. The Rev. Kenneth Whisenant officiated.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Sprague of Lumberton. She graduated from Lumberton High School in 1984.The groom is the son of Margie Britt of Lumberton and the late Ellis Britt. He graduated from Lumberton High School in 1980 and is employed by Leder Bros.The bride wore a long gown of white satin. It had a high scalloped neckline, princess-styled bodice, and fitted sleeves of English net. The dress was trimmed with French Alencon and Schiffli lace and seed pearls. It end*ed ir a chapei-length train.Her veil of white illusion was held by a cap of satin, Alencon lace and seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white and pink roses, white orchids and baby’s .breath. .The maid of honor was Leslie Higley of Lumberton. She wore a long gown of rose satin, styled with a high scalloped neckline, fitted waist, puffed sleeves and full skirt. She carried a cascading bouquet of pink, daisies, stephanotis, roses and baby’s breath.Bridesmaids were: Michele Taylor of San Antonio, Tex.; and Barbara Watson, Julie Baxley, Melody Bacot and Susan Sprague, all of Lumberton. They were gown*ed like the honor attendant.%The best man was Dickie Britt of Lumberton. Ushers were: Stephen Surles, Robert Wagier, Myron Britt, Alan Flowers ana Dickie Ellis Britt, all of Lumberton.The groom wore a gray coat with tails, pique bow tie, shirt and vest. The best man and ushers wore gray coats with tails, matching black bow ties and cummerbunds.Flower girl was Courtney Sprague.The wedding reception was held on June 23 on the grounds of the church. It was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. George Sprague.Mrs. Anthony Paywell Britt(nee Alison Yvonne Sprague)The rehearsal dinner was held on June 22 at John’s Restaurant. It was hosted by Mrs. Ellis Britt.After a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple will live at 505 West 18th St., Lumberton.
