Dr. and Mrs. Willard Gardner observed their golden wedding anniversary. on June 21. Dr. Gardner was born in Grass Valley, a son of Mrs. John A. Gardner and the late Mr. Gard ner. He was educated at USAC and at the University of Califor nia in Berkeley. For 33 years he taught physics at USAC. He was retired in July 1954. Mrs. Gardner was born in Grantsville, a daughter of Alma H. and Sarah Clark Hale. They are the parents of seven children: Nathan H., Ogden; Al ma H., Ortland, Oregon; Mrs. Larry (Lucy) Cole, Logan; Wal ter H., Pullman, Washington; Mrs. Frank (Relda) Bringhurst, Layton; John Hale, Provo; Wil lard H., Salt Lake City. They have 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Dr. and Mrs. Willard Gardner
