Yparraguirre of Gardnerville. The marriage was a social event of last Sunday afternoon, taking place m Trinity Lutheran Church m Gard-nervilie with the Rev. Paul H. Felten officiating. A reception in the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Dressier followed the vow exchange. After a honeymoon to coast points, Mr. and Mrs, Yparraguirre will make their home in Berkeley, Calif, where he is attending the University of California School of Medicine. On Sunday afternoon at two o’clock impressively beautifql services at Trinity Lutheran Church m Gardnerville marked the wedding of Miss Joy Ann Russell ar.d Daniel Yparraguirre, when the Rev. Paul II. Felten officiated. White peonies and mc-ck orange blossoms were in ivory colored \asc on the altar where the candles m heavy brass candelabra cast a soft glow, and baskets of the same flowers stood in the chancel. Mrs. Wilfred Jones was the soloist, and just before the ceremony sang “The Lord’s Prayer with Miss Ruth Felten playing the organ accompaniment. As the ushers, Paul Yparraguirre and Robert Heitman, seated the guests j there was soft organ music, and; the bridal party entered the church: as the wedding march was played.; The bride, escorted by her elder j brother, Donald Russell, of Oak-! land, was lovely in her wedding: gown of heavy white satin. It was, fashioned with appliques of Chan-! tllly lace on the bodice ant the. skirt, and the long sleeves were of lace, ending in points at the wrists. Tiny lace covered buttons and a roll call were were features of the bodice, and the full skirt end-ded in a train. The finger tip length veil flowed from a crown of net and white satin, covered with pleaded lace, and, adding to the beauty and the sentiment, were the orange blossoms which had adorned the wedding crown of Joy Ann’s maternal grandmother, the late Mrs. Fritz Neddenriep, and have been worn by each of the granddaughters on her wedding day. White maline formed the background for the stephanotis and two white orchids of the bride’s buoquet, and satin streamers, knotted with the stephanotis, fell from the lovely arrangement. Mrs, Jerry Neddenriep was the matron of honor and led the wedding party dressed in a summer frock of pink organdy, made ballerina length on the very full skirt, and a bodice that fastened at the front with self covered buttons, a Peter Pan collar and cap sleeves. Mrs. James Miller and Miss Thelma Wmkelman were the bridesmaids, and wore organdy dresses in the acqua shade, made in the sam® style as the matron of honor’s. The attendants all wore pink carnations in fheir hair, but those of the maid s were lighter m shade than Mrs Nedderrien's, and the flowers they carried were old fashioned nosegays of white carnations centered with three p.nk carnations and outlined wi'h mahne. Short white gloves added to the charm of the costumes. Ronald V, Lange stood witn the bride groom as his best man.Mrs. Donald Russell chose for her sister-in-law’s wedding an ensemble of navy blue silk with white pique trim, and a navy and white hat. Her corsage was of red gladioli. Mrs. Frank M. Yparraguirre, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a dress of nylon lace in a soft shade of blue with white accessories, and a white lace straw hat. Her corsage was of white stephanotis. Mrs. F.Yparraguire, grandmother of the bridegroom, wore a black frock and black hat, and her corsage was of pink gladioli.Immed ately following the ceremony at the church, the newlyweds were honored at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Dressier in the valley. Mrs. Drossier who is an aunt of the bride is also her godmother, and the lovely gardens of her home made a beautiful setting for the reception. While peonies and mock orange blossoms were again used for the floral decorations, and the refreshment tables, covered with cut-work cloths, had artistic arrangements of the flowers, with white candles in holders circled with smaller blossoms. Mrs. Budd Dressier served the cake, and Misses Mary Micheo and Shirley Lundergrren presided at the punch bowls, while Miss Fay Yparraguirre, young sister of the bridegroom, had charge of the guest book The tiered wedding cake was unusually artistic, and was made and decorated by Hugo Caller.berg of San Francisco, who is an uncle of the bride.When the young couple left on their honeymoon the bride was smart in a navy kmt suit. Her hat was a navy straw, and the costume was accented by the red bag and red shoes. The orchids from her wedding bouquet formed her corsage. After a wedding trip the newlyweds will make their home in Berkeley,The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Russell, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Neddenriep, pioneers of this valley, were her maternal grandparents. She graduated from Douglas County High School, following earlier schoolihg in California, and later completed a course m secretarial work m a Reno business sc tool. She has been employed in the business o;fice of the Minden Cooperative Creamery Company for the past several months. Popular with the younger groups in the community, she has been the happy inspiration for many parties and showers since the announcement of her engagement. Her husband is the son of Mr and Mrs, Frank M. Yparraguirre of Gardnerville. and his paternal grandparents are Mr and Mrs. Frank Yparraguirre of Reno. The late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marquat who «ere pioneer ranchers in Carson Valley were his maternal grandparents. Like his bride, he graduated from the local high school, and then attended the University of Nevada where his fraternity was Alpha Tau Omega, He transferred to the University of California and is continuing his premedical work there. » —.VISITS IN WELLSWELLS, June 23.
