CaliforniaGLIDDEN (THNS)—Announcement is made of the marriage of Marian Brand, daughter of Mrs. Mary L. Brand .of Glidden and the late James H. Brand, to David M. Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Williams of Tulare, Calif.,formerly of Carroll. The garden of Mr. and Mrs.•Carlton H. Casjens, 4019 Bromp-a'ton avenue, Bell, Calif., provided •the setting for the wedding at 4 *p. m. Sunday, June 6. The Rev.*Fred B. Trotter, pastor of First Methodist church of Huntington ? Park, officiated at the double ring ceremony.* * *The bride was given in marriage M by her cousin. Carlton Casjens. ALucille Morgan Becomes Bride of Duane ShriverGLIDDEN (THNS)—About 115 guests witnessed the wedding of Lucille Morgan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Morgan, and Duane Shriver, son of Mr. and— Mrs- Dcl shriver of Lake Vievvgown of white slipper satin, made [which took place Sunday, Junewith lace-inserted yoke, long• *•4, sleeves pointed over the hands, and full train was worn by the bride. A starched lace crown held* in place her fingertip veil. She y carried the bridegroom’s gift., n /.white Bible, topped with a purple-••'tipped orchid and showered withstreamers of white stcphanotis. As a .-“something old,” she wore a bar-♦'rette which had belonged to her .great-grandmother.* * *• Billie Faye Williams, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. She wore a pink organdy gown with net-inserted yoke and sleeves. •MHer coronet consisted of pink rosebuds and blue streamers. She• •carried a colonial bouquet of pink rtrosebuds and white daisies, with . blue streamers.* * *Patricia Sylvester of Glidden,bridesmaid, wore a blue organdy frock like that of the maid of hon-0,1 or and a rose coronet with pink streamers. Her colonial bouquet of pink rosebuds and while daisies was showered with pink streamers.. Robert Walker of Tulare served as best man. Ushers were Carlton '’Casjens, jr., Robert S. Casjens• ‘•-•and Max Williams.The bride’s mother wore a white print dress with black accessor-’ ies and the bridegroom's mother,' a black faille suit with pink ac- cessories. Both had corsages of red roses and. gardenias.Mrs. Letha Barker Porter sang ”'“T Love You Truly” and “Because”, accompanied by Mrs.- - Blanche Warner.* * *At the recention. the bridal ta-20, at 2:30 p. m. in the Pleasant Ridge church near Coon Rapids.The Rev. Guy W. Harvey performed the single ring ceremony before a candlelightcd altar, decorated with two baskets of white gladioli. ,Sammy Cretsinger sang “Because” and “The Lord’s Prayer”.* * *The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white silk marquisette over taffeta with satin applique. It was fashioned with a fitted bodice and full skirt with a short train. A sweetheart tiara, caught in the center with orange blossoms, held the tulle fingertip veil which had a scalloped edge of French lace. She wore a single strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom, and carried a fan of white tulle centered with a detachable white rose corsage, and circled and showered with stephanotis.Virginia Gillespie, bridesmaid, wore a floor-length gown of pale blue dotted swiss and hat of blue tulle. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses edged in lace.Candlelighters were Maurean Nelson and Marilyn DeWeese who were also dressed in pale blue dotted swiss.* * *Wilbur M. Morgan, brother of the bride, served as best man. Morris Blum and Norman Caskey ushered.A reception for 75 guests was given in the church parlors. Out-of-town friends and relatives included: Dr. and Mrs. J. Lawrence Cochran, Mr. and Mrs. L. J.
