A wedding ceremony of more than ordinary interest was performed Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock, at St. Mary’s church at Willey, at which the Miss Anna Hoffman and Mr. John Kraus, both of pleasant Valley township, were united in marriage. Rev. John Achatz officiating at the ceremony which was preceded by high mass which Rev. Father Baumler, pastor of St. Mary’s and Rev. George Wesaling, of Coon Rapids, participated with the officiating clergyman. The bridesmaid was a sister of the bride, Miss Frances Hoffman, and Joseph Kraus, brother of the groom, was best man. The bride was becomingly attired in a beautiful dress of white messaline with shadow lace and carried a boquet of white bridal roses and carnations. The bridesmaid was dressed in Nile green crepe de chine and wore carnations. Following the ceremony there was a reception at the home of the bride*k parents, at which a company of nearly two hundred people ware present to celebrate the happy event and to enjoy the sumptuous wedding feast that had been provided for the occasion. in the evening the event was still further celebrated by a big free dance at the hall in Dedham, the music for which was furnished by Beli Brothers Orchestra of Carroll.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hoffman, of Pleasant Valley township, and the groom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kraus, of the same township. They have grown up in the community in which the wedding took place and enjoy the respect and esteem of ail. Both are young people of very su-prior qualities and we may predict with confidence that their united lives will be full of happiness for themselves and of usefulness and blessing to the community in which they make their home. They will live on a farm belonging to the groom’s father, about a mile and a half west of Willey, thus adding another to the many excellent homes of Pleasant Valley township.
