She is thedaughter of Mary Place of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and the late Edward Halladay, and the stepdaughter of the late StephenPlace. He is the son of Dianne and Richard Goldman of Fair-held.An August wedding is planned at Stratton MountainResort in Vermont.The future bride, a 1992 graduate of Groton High School in Groton, N.Y., received abachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Middlebury College in 1996, and a master’s of social work from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2000. She is presently a doctoral student in social welfare at UCLA and is a social worker in Los Angeles.The prospective groom, a 1992 graduate of Fairfield High School, earned a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College in 1996. He is a partner in a him production and advertising company in Studio City, Calif.
