Mr. and Mrs. Angelo DelGuidiceDelGuidicesGoldenMr. and Mrs. Angelo DelGuidice of 189 West 13th street, Chicago Heights, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering on June i6 at Savoia’s restaurant, Chicago Heights. They were married on June 15, 1924, at St. Rocco church, Chicago Heights, and the Rev. Michael Woznick of the church was present to bless the coupleduring the Golden Wedding partyMrs. DelGuidice is the former Daisy Poerio. Her husband, a watch maker who learned his art from his father and grandfather in Italy, came to theWeddingUnited States in 1911 at the age of 17. For 40 years he owned a jewelry store in the old Victoria hotel at the corner of Illinois. Halsted and Vincennes in Chicago Heights prior to the hotel's demolition.He is a charter member of Chicago Heights American Legion Post 313, and both are members of St. Agnes church.Present for the anniversary celebration were the couple’s children, Mr. and Mrs. Nick DelGuidice of Glenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Coscarelli of South Bend, Ind., and Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Ciambrone of Chicago Heights, and four grand-Markedchildren.Honored guests were members of the DelGuidice wedding party 50 years ago. They include Sam Matz of Chicago Heights, best man; Mrs. Pete Spadafora of Hudson, Mich., the former Nancy Matz, maid of honor; Miss Angie Poerio and Mrs. Florence Ziccardi, both of Chicago Heights, bridesmaids;'Mrs. Francis Whaley am’ Miss Carmella Dileo of Homewood and Mrs. James Zaranti of Chicago Heights, all nieces of Mrs. DelGuidice, flower girls; and Frank Sinopoli of South Chicago Heights, ring t irer.
