DAVID EFRID RHYNEBarbara Kelley And David RhynePledge Their Vows In Home CeremonyMiss Barbara Anne Kelley, dau-hter of Mr. and Mrs. Autie Pitz ugh Kelley, and David Efrid Rhy-e, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Rhy-e of Stony Point, were united in narriage Saturday at five o’clock n the afternoon at the Walnut Itreet home of the bride. About 0 close friends and relatives at-ended the nuptials and the recep-ion that followed.Rev. James S. Potter pastor of rirst Baptist church was officiat-ng minister and heard the vows icfore an improvised altar in the iving room. The mantel was bank'd with ivy and white hydrangeas nd flanked by palms and candles0 cadelabra interspersed with ioor baskets of white gladioli. Villiam Kelley and Autie Kelley, h\, the bride’s brothers, lighted he candles. Mrs. Harold Wilson vas at the piano and Miss Sue iomers sang prior to the cere-nony.The pretty bride, given in mar--iage by her father, had Mrs. olm H. Simmerman, Jr., her sis-or, as matron of honor and only* ittendant. She wore imported blue roilc full-skirted frock and car-ied a pink wedding band of ina-inc showered with pastel flowers, toward Rhyne attended his broth-ir as best man.White nylon over taffeta was fas-lioncd for the bride with gathered ikirt falling from a corded waist-inc, fitted bodice buttoned to the .cooped neckline with self-covered mttons. The neckline was detailed vith lace appliqued flowers and he sleeves were brief. She wore1 tiny hat or lace and rhinestones vith a whisper of veiling and held i white orchid on a paryer bookwhich was showered with satin streamers and gypsophilia.Mrs. Kelly wo?e pink lace with a gardenia corsage and the bride groom’s mother was in navy sheer a1 ’ also pinned gardenias at her shoulder,For the reception the bride’s table was covered with an imported linen cutwork cloth and was centered with an antique silver candelabrum with white tapers and epergnettes filled with miniature white flowers. The cake, in a fluff of lacelon and satin ruffles was at one end of the table and the punch bowl presided over by Mrs. Fr?nk L- Johnson, was at the other end. After the bridal couple had cut the first slice of cake in traditional fashion the cutting wascompleted by the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Brett B. Honeycutt of Raleigh. Mrs. Charles Anderson and Mrs. C. C. Correll, Jr., the latter of Raleigh, assisted in the dining room. Mrs. Herbert Blackwell of Rock Hill, S. C., received guests in the hall where a lovely arrangement of blue hydrangea were used, and Mrs. William E. Kelley kept the register. ,For travel to Myrtle Beach, SC.. Mrs Rhyne changed into a pretty pink summer suit with blue and white blouse and shoes. Her hat. was white and she pinned her orchid at her shoulder. For the time being Mr. and Mrs. Rhyne will live in Statesville.The bride is a graduate of Statesville high school and is office assistant in the dental offices of Dr. Glenn Lazenby, Jr. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Stony Point high school.
