The Reverend Emerson M. Thompson, pastor of the church, officiated.The altar vases held white snapdragons, butterfly roses and gysophelia and the vows were said against a backgroundof palms.A program of wedding music was presented by Mrs. E. K. Veach, organist, and Mrs. Lloyd Bray, soloist.The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of silk. The fitted bodice featured a bateau neckline edged in scalloped Venise lace and bands of lace lined the hemline of the bell skirt and the detachable square train was completely outlined in lace. Her four-tiered bouffant veil of French illusion was attached to petals of lace centered with an organza rose andpearls. She carried a white prayer book centered with white roses showered with lilies of the valley.Mrs. Fay Anderson Mizelle, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a yellow ballerina length dress of georgette over taffeta. It was styled with a full skirt and fitted bodice with a draped bateau neckline. Her headdress was of petal points centered with a large rose and a circular veil and she carried a cascade of Mar-gurete daisies.Bridesmaids were Miss Elizabeth Anderson of Enfield and Mrs. Jimmy Jones of Chesapeake, Virginia, both cousins of the bride. Their costumes and flowers were identical to that of the honor attendant.Little Miss Lois Dare Mizelle, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Master Seth Wayne Anderson, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.The bridegroom’s father was best man, and ushers were Nicholas Judge of Palmyra, brother of the bridegroom, Ruric Clebsy Anderson, Jr. of Rocky Mount, cousin of the bride, Oliver Lafayette Ander-Nashville SocietyMirs. J. E. Jacobs is a patient at Park View Hospital in Rocky|Mount.Dr. and Mrs. William Dorsey Beal and children of Albemarle were the weekend guests of Mr. and Mr«; J. C. Beal and Mr. ond Mrs. Walter J. Bone.Ferebee Sledge and daughter of Whiteville visited Mrs. W. W. Ward and other relatives here during the weekend.Mrs. Davi,d Tousignant and young son have returned to their home in Charlotte after spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Bone.Mrs. R. J, Plyler of Salisbury is spending a few doys with her mother, Mrs. Ida B. Austin.son, Jr., brother of the bride, and Jimmy Jones of Chesapeake, Virginia.The mother of the bride wore a Dior blue sheath dress with matching accessories and a pink cymbidium.The mother o* the bridegroom wore a two piece pink lace dress with matching accessories and pink cymbidium.For traveling the bride wore a suit of ivory Italian knit with black patent accessories and the orchid from her bouquet.After a# wedding trip to the mountains of western North Carolina, the couple will reside in Newport News.The bride is a graduate of Scotland Neck High School and the bridegroom ,who also graduated from Scotland Neck High School, attended East CarolinaCollege.Immediately following the rehearsal on Saturday evening, June 13, the couple were entertained at a cake cutting at the Social Hall of the Scotland Neck Methodist Church.
