June 21 — A miscellaneous shower was given j by Mrs. Ambrose Verhoff and, Mrs. Victor Verhoff. at the for-; mer’s home June 18. honoring Miss Armella Verhoff. daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Verhoff.! of Kalida, whose marriage to: Leonard Turnwald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Turnwald, of OttoviUe, will take place on Wednesday, June 28. at 8 o’clock in St. Michael's Catholic church in Kalida.The afternoon was spent with contests and. bunco, after which a lunch was served.. After lunch Vincent Verhoff and Esther Verhoff, son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Verhoff. dressed as a little, bride and groom, brought the gifts to the bride-elect, in a little wagon decorated with the color scheme of white and yellow'. The' bride-to-be received many, and useful gifts. , 'There were 47 present.
