Jones announce the marriage of their daughter, Elsa Louise, to Buck Driggers Wednesday, June 21, in Tavares.Mrs. Driggers attended high school in Savannah. Ga., and Crescent City, Fla. Mr. Driggers is employed by the Eustis Sheet Metal and Roofing Company. They will make their home in Eustis.Mrs. Zera Adams Honored at ShowerMrs. Zera Adams, formerly Zera Dean of Mount Dora, was surprised with a bridal shower Friday night at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Dean in Sylvan Shores.Mrs. Adams has just announced her marriage on January 28th. On arrival at the Dean home the bride was met by two bridesmaids carrying open umbrellas to protect her from the shower” she was going to receive. The bride was then dressed with a bridal veil made of cheese cloth and given a bouquet of cauliflower and fern with bits of paper dangling from pieces of string.A mock ceremony was performed, the bridesmaids and ushers carrying bouquets of beets, celery, onions and carrots. The parts of all male characters were played by girls in men’s clothing. Catalogs were used instead of the Bible. The bride received a curtain ring instead of the customary wedding ring. Both the bride and groom were showered with confetti at the close of the ceremony.Each guest was asked to write her own ideas on managing a husband, also her favorite recipe. This storehouse of knowledge was given to the bride of the hour for future reference.A number of interesting games were played during the evening and prizes awarded to the winners. Mrs. Adams received a large number of beautiful and useful presents.Delicious refreshments of jello with whipped cream and cherries, lemonade and wedding cake were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Sarah Stockton and Mrs. Dean.Present were Willie Kate Gran-thum, Mrs. J. Treadwell, Miss Martha Treadwell, Miss Helen Driver, Miss Margaret Kelly, Mrs Dean, all of Mount Dora; Helen Cameron and Mrs. C. O.
