The ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. Holmes Wood, at his homo in this city. The young people will make their home on a farm near the Fairview churcn. Mr. Purcell is a son of John Purcell, of Versailles.During: the time the couple was In the office of the county clerk securing their license they were given a charivari by other of the county officials, Shooting crackers, torpedoes and tubs and pans were used In the celebration.
