By MOLLY MARIN TO honor Mr. and Mrs. Frank Donohue of Novato on their 62nd wedding anniversary their son, Donald F. Donohue of No vato, and Mrs. Donohue gave a party for relatives and close friends at Galli’s restaurant in Ignacio Thursday. The Donohues were married June 16, 1910, in the parish house of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in San Rafael. Now retired, Mr. Donohue was the tax collector for the County of Marin for many years. Frank Donohue’s sister, Mrs. Harry Hyland of San Francisco, attended the party along with many nieces and nephews of both Frank and Jane Donohue, Messrs. and Mmes. Melville Wilson and Tom O’Connor of San Francisco, Alfred Wilson of Fairfax and Misses Margaret O’Connor of San Francisco and Merci Wilson of Santa Rosa. LILLIAN DALE Cheney be came the bride of Harry Ed ward Brown in a garden cere mony at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hal C. Cheney, in Walnut Creek. Fol lowing the ceremony, which took place on May 27, the cou ple left on a wedding trip to the Grand Teton. They are now living in Los Angeles. A native of Marin, the bride groom graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School and California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. His parents, former residents of San Anselmo, are Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Brown of Long Beach. A TEA to honor Catherine Mullowney was given Monday at the Francisco Club in San Francisco by her grandmother, Mrs. Eaton Taylor of San Fran cisco. A recent graduate of Terra Linda High School, Catherine is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Mullowney of San Rafael. She is the vice presi dent of Marin Charitable Foun dation Junior Auxiliary. Catherine’s sisters — Karen, a Marin debutante in 1969 and a student at the University of Northern Colorado, and Debbie were among nearly 200 guests at the tea. A RECEPTION honoring her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Hewitt Rice of San Francisco, was hosted Sun day at their Belvedere home by Mr. and Mrs. George J. Cole man. The Rices were married at their home on June 6. The new Mrs. Rice (Nancy Stevens Love) is also the daugh ter of William C. Love of Phila delphia. She is the sister of M. Gwaltney Love of San Francis co and Elizabeth Love of Belve dere and the granddaughter of Mrs. Victor J. West of Belve dere. Jeffrey is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip A. Rice of La Habre and Dallas. He is the brother of Philip A. Rice II of Anaheim and Mrs. Stephen Dye of Hun tington Beach. MRS. JAMES Sullivan of the Marin Country Club Estates in Novato had her annual ‘“‘school out’’ party Friday for 20 friends with whom she taught at Abra ham Lincoln High School in San Francisco. The Sullivans also enter tained Thursday when a group of neighbors was invited to meet Capt. Nathan Johnston, brother of Mrs. Charles Galt of the country club. MRS. FRANK E. Rossman has returned from a trip to the northwest which was a reunion with family members and friends who formerly lived in Marin. In Sunnyside, Wash., she vis ited her daughter and son-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Warren S. Meadowcroft, and their sons Dean and Keith, formerly of Mill Valley. In Walla Walla, Wash., she stopped to see the parents of her son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Niel Meadowcroft, al so formerly of Mill Valley. In Gresham, Ore., she was guest of honor at a family reunion that included nieces and nephews at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Donald C. Birch, formerly of Sausalito.
