The bride is the former Miss Dorothy Jean Higginbotham, daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Higginbotham of Kings ley and the bridegroom's parentsare Mr and Mrs Paul Nitzschke,of Rensen. 'The couple was married at the Church of the Brethren in Kingsley at 3 p.m., on Sunday, June Id, 1962. Mrs En-•rest Eppling of Kingsley-; Mrs Gun nard Carlson of Pierson, aunts of the bride and Mrs Wayne Wenzel of Fairmont, Minnesota, sister of the bride were in charge ofopenin and displaying the wedding gifts.Mrs Wilma Kramer of Remsen. served the wedding cake baked by VanderMeer Bakery of Le Mars. The cake was made up of 150 in dividually decorated petit fours on five tiers of a transparent square stand. The border around the petit fours was made up of pink roses and sma'1 pink flowers with light green leaves. The top tier was a small round cake decorated for the bride and groom by Peter VanderMeer.Dining room hostesses was Mrs Marvel Muir of Le Mari.; Waitresses were Eileen Ladenthin of Le-Ma-rs and Opal Chistensen, of Kingsley.Sharing kitchen honors were mem bets of the Brethren Ladies aid, Mrs Carl Bainbridge, Mrs. Lavern Herbold, Mrs Melvin Bakken, Miss Pauline Bainbridge^ M,rs James Watkins all of Kingsley and Mrs. Milford Beeghly of Pierson.The bridegroomv the bestman, groomsman and fathers of the bride and bridegroom, ushers and candlelighters wore dark suits with white carnation boutonnieres.Mrs Higginbotham wore a iur qnoise blue dress with white accessories and the mother of . the bridegroom wore a navy blue sheath with white accessories. Each wore a pink carnation cor sage.The bride was graduated from Kingsley high and is employed by VanderMeer Bakery. The bride groom attended Remsen Public school and for the past five years has been employed by LeMars Fruit and Grocery, Le Mars.
