Pair Wed atSan PerlitaSAN PERLITA - Emma JaneKikes, daughter nf Mr. and Mrs. T. J Kikes of San Perlita was married June 11 to Robert I^e Walker of San Diego. Cal. Mr.' Walker Is the son of Mrs. J. E.Rhodes of Lyford.The double ring ceremony was performed by Brother Ed Alexander of the Church of Christ in SanPerlita.The bride was given in marriage by her father She wore a waltz length gown of lace and tulle. with a taffeta underskirt. The'bodice had long tapered sleevesand the round neckline was outlined with seed pearls A rap of lace and tulle matched the wedding dress It was also trimmedwith pearls and from the cap fell a fingertip veil of lace and tulle She carried white carnations ona white Bible.The bride's sister Mary Ann was maid of honor. Tncia Kathleen Pyle was the flower girl and Gar Lee Walker was the ringbearei Best man was the groom's brother, J. T. Walker, Jr. of Donna A reception followed the cere-in on y. It was held at the home of the bride s parents Out of town guests were Mrs. William M. Jordan and Glenn .Jordan, Corpus Christ); Mr and Mrs. Leonard Pyle, Harlingen; Mrs Buddy Johnson, Flower Bluff, and Barbara P\le of San Benito Also Mr. and Mrs. J. Edinburg.The houseparty consisted of Winona Gregory who served the punch, Marilyn Gregory who presided at the bride's book, and Mrs. Marie Redh who served the wedding cake.The bride is a graduate of San Perlita High school. The groom at-jSAN PERLITA BRIDE Mr. and Mrs. Walker were wed at the Church of Christ in SanPerlita June 14. Mrs. Walker is the former Emma Jane Fikes, daughter of Mr. andMrs. T. J. Fikes of San Perlita. Mr. Walker's mother is Mrs. J. E. Rhodes of Lyford. The groom is now serving in the United States navy at San Diego, Cal. The youngcouple will make their home in Raymondvilie for a short while he'ore the groomreturns to California where his bride will join him.
