Palmer-BoswellA wedding of interest throughout Virginia and the South was solemnized at Chase City. V«i , Thursday, June 6 at 7 oclock, when Miss Margaret Boswell de-came the bride of William Ware Palmer. Miss Boswell is the daughter of Mrs. Alice Leclair Jeffress Boswell and the granddaughter of the late Captain Thomas Jeffress of Chase City.* Mr. Palmer is the son of Dr. Jesse Gary Palmer and Mrs Palmer of Opelika, Ala. The ceremony was performed in the Baptist Church Rev. H. T. Williams officiating The church was decorated with American flags, ferns and growing plants. Miss Gladys Hester played the w’edding march and Robert Iverson BoswelP~ sang “Constancy” just before the ceremony. As the wedding party left the church the “Star Spangled Banner” was played The bride, who was gi.en in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Clarence A. Jeffress of Kinston, wore a gown of white beaded georgette with a veil of tulle caught with orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of white roses and sweet peas. The only onia ment was a pearl necklace, an heir loom in her mother’s family and always given to the first daughter marrying. Thomu- D. JelTres and Alonzo H. Jeffreys of Kin‘ton, small t'ousins of the bride, wearing white suit and carrying American flag*, preceded t e bridal party. Mrs. N\ Eaward^p 'Adamson of Portsmouth was matron of-honor and wore !i**r own wedding grow of whitecrepe meteor and lace. Miss Rosalie Bryant Geer of Brooklyn was maid-of .honor and wore rainbow tulle They carried bouqetsof lark I spur, corn flowers and lield dais iep.
