WEDDING BELLS.The jingle of wedding bells has been sounded here of late very often and still “there's more to follow. Last Wednesday, .I une 14th at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Ed Davis, on Mam street was solemnlr^d the marriage of Mr. Charles T. Brownell and M i8S Jessie L. Davie. The ceremony was performed at high noon. The wedding march was played by Miss Walker. The bridal couple attended by Rev. C. F. Lusk, descended from the regions above, marched slowly through the dining room into the parlor where under an arch and before a bank of Mowers, the ceremony was performed. The bride looked beautiful, arrayed in a gown of white silk with pearl trim mings, her dark hair was ornamented with white roses. She also carried a a large boquet of beautiful green house rosea. The groom was clothed in the conventional black. After the ceremony which was performed by Rev. Lusk, of the Baptist church, the bridal couple together with a few chosen friends and near relatives of the bride and groom were seated at a-large table elaborately decorated with roses and green sprays. The remainder of the guests were seated at small tables, arrangements having been made for sixty. The dinner, an elaborate one, was nicely served by young girls, arrayed in white. After dinner Mr. and Mrs. Brownell received the congratulations and good wishes of their many friends. Mr. Davis, father of the bride paesented his daughter with something more substantial than good wishes, a handful of gold. The mother gave her gold to the groom afterward saying she felt that she had not lost a daughter. but had gained a son. The children followed the example of the father and gave their gold to the sister. Nearly two hundred dollars in all. The presents which they received from the guests were beautiful as well as useful Mr. and Mrs. Brownell left the same evening on the clipper for Nashua where they will remain for a short time. They carried with them the best wishes of many friends and left behind a rice strewn platform.TT on rtt UaUor
