Bradford, was the setting for the marriage of Mary Ann Salerno to Joseph Paul Sczudlo on Saturday, June 7. The Rev. John J Herbein, church pastor, performed the ceremony Robert Greeley, organist, provided the wedding music.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Salerno, 172 High St., Bradford. The bridegroom is the son of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Sczudlo. 119 N. 15th St., Olean, N Y The bride is also the granddaughter of Bruno Salerno, 324 Union St., Warren and the late Rose Salerno.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a silk organza, floor-length gown featuring a V-neckline, empire bodice, lantern sleeves with wide cuffs and venise lace trim The A-line skirt with hemline flounce was designed with a train, both edged in the venise lace Her chapel-length mantilla, edged in the lace, was caught to a camelot cap. She carried a colonial ring of yellow carnations, white carnations and yellow roses placed in the center.Mary Ann Roney was the maid of honor dressed in a maise jersey gown and double cape sleeves. A rippled straw hat accented the outfit and she carried a brandy snifter with candle, carnations and streamers Bridesmaids, dressed similarly, were Patty Thompson. Mrs. Cathy Salerno, Mrs. Tish Kelly, Nancy Kloss and Audrey Lewis. Carrie Chiarenza was the flower girl and David Chiarenza was the ringbearer.Gary Wilcox was the best man and ushers were Peter Sczudlo, brother of the bridegroom; Mike Salerno, brother of the bride; Bobby Prymack, Fred Salerno, brother of the bride and Rich Jankowski.A reception was held at the Derrick City Fire Hall Pre-nuptial affairs were given by the bride’s fellow workers at Zippo Mfg. Co.;Carolyn Occhuizzo and Mrs. Saundra Salerno; one was given by Mrs. Liz Thurston and Mrs.Mr. and Mrs. Joseph SczudloDorothy Sczudlo and Mrs. Cathy Salerno, Mary Ann Roney, Mrs. Tish Kelly, Audrey Lewis and Patty Thompson all gave another shower.The bride is a 1972 graduate of Bradford Area High School and is presently employed in the accounting dept, at Zippo Mfg. Co The bridegroom is a 1969 graduate of Olean(N.Y ) High School and attended St. Bonaventure University. He is currently employed by Leo's Market.Following a trip to Boothbay Harbor, Me., the couple will reside at 104V2 N. 10th st., Olean, N.Y.
