Pink, White Color SchemeFor Schmaltz-Boyd WeddingA pink and white coior scheme was used for the wedding of Miss Carol Ann Boyd and Robert Lee Schmaltz on Saturday evening at St. Matthew’s Lutheran church. Benton Harbor.The bride’s parents arc Mr. and Mrs. Louis E. Boyd. 574 South Walnut St.. Benton Harbor. the grooms. Mr. and Mrs. August Schmaltz. Box 104. Baroda.Officiating clergyman wai the Rev. M. J. Michael, pastor of the Glendora Lutheran church. Arvin Jantz was the organist and Mrs. Richard Edingcr, thesoloist.Mr. Boyd escorted his daughter to the altar which had been decked with pink and white gladioli and silver fern.The long-sleeved bodice of the bride’s gown was embroideredMiss Juanita Brow, as bridesmaid. wore an identical costume. The flower girl. Diane Lynn Schmaltz, also wore a white dress with pink cummerbund.Emil Zclmer, brother - in * law of the groom, was best man. LaMar Trapp; Dean Schmaltz, the groom’s cousin of Baroda; Eugene Metz: and John Rimpol, brother-in-lav.* of the bride, were ushers.Some 650 guests were received at the reception after the ceremony at Eagles Hall. St. Joseph.Mrs. Lena Rhodes and Mrs. Ernest Rcves assisted at the reception. Miss Laurcen Boyd, the bride's sistcs, was in charge of the guest book.Mrs. Emil Zelmcr, sister of the groom, cut the cake, assisted by Mrs LaMar Trapp.On July 5. the couple will be at home at 17 Wissing lane. St.with pearls and sequins. The Joseph. Their two-week honey-Roor-iength skirt of nylon tulle ruffles over satin was overlaid by lace which extended into a train in the back. Her fingertip veil was held by a crown of pearls and sequins.The bridal bouquet was of five white cymbidium orchids with pink centers.The bride's sister. Mrs. John Rimpel, wore white chiffon over taffeta with a pink cummerbund and a pink picture hat. Her flowers were pink and white carnations carried in a reversed pink parasol.moon is to Niagara Falls and New York City.Mrs. Schmaltz graduated from Benton Harbor high school and attended Benton Harbor Community college. She is a secretary at Western and Southern Life Insurance company, and a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.The bridegroom graduated from Baroda high school and Whirlpool Technical Institute. He is employed as an electrician at Saranac Machine Company. Benton Harbor.
