WOMEN'S ACTIVITIESTuesday, June 19, 1911Miss Lippard And Mr. Williams AreMarried In Afternoon CeremonyMiss Martha Fidelis Lippard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H, Lippard, 117 Lippard avenue, and Clyde Marcus Williams, son of Mrs. C. R. Williams, 304 Steele street, and the late Mr. Williams, were married Saturday afternoon at 4 o’clock in Boulevard Methodist church with Rev: O. D. Smi-th, the church pastor, using the ^double ring ceremony.’ The nuptial background was an arch entwined with ivy and falnk-ed by floor baskets of white hydrangeas and branched candelabra holding lighted tapers. Regal ies with summer mums were on • the piano complimented by white tapers in ivy entwined holders. The altar was draped in white and sprigged with ivy.corsage of white carnations at her shoulder. The bridegroom's mother wore old rose crepe and also had white carnations for a corsage.Immediately following the ceremony the young couple left for a wedding trip after which they will be at home, 515 East Broad street, where they have taken anapartment.Mrs. Williams attended Troutman and graduated from Scotls high school. The bridegroom is a Statesville high school graduate and is employed at Statesville Chair co.Roliingei* was soloist and Miss Coleen Redmond was at the piano for the prelude of wedding music.Mr. Uppard gave his daughter in marriage agd the bridegroom had his brother, Lewis Williams, as best man.White Matclasse organdy was designed for the bride. The neckline was outlined with lace and embroider and . the sleeves were brief. The skirt was full and ballerina length. She wore a while hat with rolled brim and flower and. veiling trim and held a white prayer book topped with an orchid. She wore a strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom.Miss Betty Sharpe was the bride’s only attendant. She wore blue Mateiass organdy designed like that worn by the’ bride ‘and carried red carnations.Ushers were Kenneth and Jack , brothers of the bride.
