ALLEGANY— Miss Ann Alice MacVVillianis, daughter of Mr. and Airs. Theodore S. MacWilltams, 88 Maple Avenue, and boren R.Briggs, son of Mr, and Mrs. OricaBriggs, Hinsdale, were united inmarriage Tuesday afternoon, June38, in a pretty home wedding. Rev. R. E. Strong, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Hinsdale, performed the ceremony at five o’clock in the home of the bride's parents.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white, street-length eyelet dress and a corsage of sweetpcas and American Beauty roses.Mrs. Russell Chesebro, Allegany, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She chose a pink dress and wore a corsage of sweetpeas androses. Russell Chesebro was best man.The bride's mother wore an aqua outfit, and the groom’s mother selected a black and white dress.A wedding luncheon was served to the immediate families in the Mac Williams home. The house was decorated with pink and white peonies and other garden flowers.The bride is a graduate of Allegany High School, Class of 1945, and the groom is a graduate of Hinsdale High School, Class Of 1942. Mr. Briggs served as a Gunners Mate Second Class for thirteen months in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He was discharged April 30, The bride was employed by the Department of Justice. Washington. D. C.After a wedding trip to Canada, | the couple will live at Hinsdale.
