AT LAST MOMENT ASKED CUPID TO WAITAN INTENDED BBIDE CHANGES HER MIND AFTER GETTING LICENSE AND LOTER AGREESOne day lafet week Wilmer Hall, son of Amos Hall, of Warrrea county, and Lola Grace Smith, daughter of Geo. Smith, of west of Covington, applied for a marriage license at the county clerk's office in Covington. After replying satisfactory to all the questions the license was made out and given to the expectant bride. She handled the legal paper cautiously, with a few minutes of deep thought, and then she frankly told the clerk that she was undecided about taking the step because she feared her parents would not fully approve it on account of the fact that her intended husband would have to leave the following day with the Warren county contingent for a training c that her love was as strong as ever but she doubted the 'wisdom of stjich a move under such circumstances. Young Hall showed his superior judgment by at once declaring tie would not insist upon immediate m^iage but would be willing to wait ajhd come back and claim the girl of has choice after his war work was completed. With this understanding; the license was returned. Miss ,fijmith is 18 and Mr. Hail 23 in numbers of years, but in judgment they are as old as the wisest. It was a great sacrifice for the two young lovers to give up their chief life purpose after completing arrangements up to the service of a preacher, and it is a safe prediction that there will be at least one happy wedding when this soldier lad returns from “over there.’'FINE CLUB WORKFA1twivesweibinfavNporandha\resdorthutioiin 1far:forwe(isgroAsnotof .andtioithu anc wh( tim uni a n list me: ers cha thistgin
