Caraey-Steinhilber . ■;VOn - Tuesday - evening; at- ,5.‘30 o’clock, at the home of the briide’s parents, occurred the marriage of Mies Kthel Steinhilber,daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Steinhilber, nnd Mr. Cyril T. Carney of Des MoineB. A few minutes before the ceremony, Miss Sibyl Ralston sang “I Cannot Help Loving Thee, and as tlie bridal couple marched down the stairway, she sang Mendelsohn’s Wedding, Song, which lasted throughout the service. The Rev. Father Hanon of-Grinnell performed the ceremony under a bower of smilax, peonies and roses. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Florence Ralston and the groom’s brother, Kriegh Carney, cf Gri»nell. The bride wore a beautiful travelling suit of blue silk and carried n large boqiiet of brides’ roses and lilliea-of-the-valley. After the congratulations a two-course• * . • 4 ,Tluncheon was served to the guests.About forty guests were present. The out-of-town guests were the groom’s mother, Mrs. Carney, his sisters, the Misses Kathleen and Eileen, his brothers, Kreigh and' Bernard, Mrs. H. W. Spalding, all of Grinnell and Miss Barbara Cornwall of Spencer. Mr. and Mrs. Cariiey drove to JPomeroy and took the train for Minneapolis and and Duluth, where they will spend a short honeymoon, after which they will be at home in Des Moines.The Record joins with the host of friends in extending best wishes and congratulations to the newly wedded couple.
