s.THE FOEThe commencement batl which the graduating class of the Fort TCayne High school class gave in Minuet hall on Friday evening was the leading social event of the week. That rarest of all things on.. a commencement night, a cool evening, contributed much to the enjoyment of thosu who attended and the several hundreds ol men and women who assembled t.o meet the several other hundreds of “#boys and girls further testified to an accepted fact, that when it comesday evening in honor of Miss Carrie Mayer, whose marriage to Charles Christie will take place the latter part of this month- The guests gave Miss Mayer a shower of linen articles.A number of parties have been given in honor of Miss Clara CaUmeler whose marriage to Carl* Koaa. of Indianapolis. will take place July 3. Miss ■Lena Scbodel. of Carson avenue, gave a pretty party this afternoon for the bride-elect and Miss A dele Sauer, of Madison street, entertained in herVFi«c nAtlmeinra pillow of roses. Miss Mabelle Webster, the bride’s sister, was-honor maid and Miss Nellie Park, of Btuff-ton, and Miss Ethel Knox, of Spencer, were bridesmaids. Mr. Dale Cowan, of Decatur, was his brother’s attendant. The bride was lovely in her white, a veil of tulle held in a Grecian coiffure arrange-bands of ribbon and a sprig of fiwansonia.
