BEAUTIFUL WEDDING EVENTThe Ceremony I nit ins; Maude Ferris and Lnurice Vickers Made a Beautiful Fieture.One lt;-i the prettiest and most charming weddings that has been celebrated in Mitchell this season was that of Miss Maude Ferris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. 11. Ferris, and Mr. Laurice Vickers, which took place at high noon Thursday at the Congregational church. The church was deco-' rated very attractively at the altar, j where palms, ferns and a variety of pink and white flowers were arranged with taste by Miss Marjorie Until, Miss Lucy Thompson and Mr. Charles Webber. Kibbons of pink and white were strung in front of the seats occupied by the relatives. T.n advance of the arrival of the wedding party a large number of friends gathered at the church to witness the ceremony, and with the pretty tostumes cf the ladies the scene of beauty was complete with the arrival of the contracting parties.Just at the hour of high noon, Miss Marjorie Ruth struck up the music of Mendclsshon’s Wedding March aad to its inspiring strains the wedding party entered the church. Rev. A.i Craig Bowdish apeared first and was followed by the groom and his best ' man, Loy Martin, of Newkirk, Okla-I *homa, followed by little Heroli ‘Green, the ling bearer, who went up the east aisle of the church. The • bride accompanied by her bridesmaid, Miss Wauneta Ferris, a sister, and Helen Green, who carried the flowers entered the church and marched up the west aisle. Following came the relatives. At the platform the wedding party met and took their places amidst the pretty array of palms, ferns and flowers.The church ushers were Misses Lucy Thompson, Lois Anderson, Melissa Walrath and Grace Bliss.
