Carter, this village, became the bride of Michael J. Trudeau, of Putnam, Ct., with the Rev. Peter J. Nabozny, pastor, officiating.Given in marriage by her father, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Linda) Carter, Herkimer. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs Robert (Phyllis) Trudeau, of Putnam, Ct.The church during the ceremony at 1 p.m. was decorated with a gonfalon of intertwining hearts whilebaskets of daisies, gladiolas and carnations were placed at the altar Readings were offered by Laurie Trudeau, sister-in-law of thebridegroom, and PaulStreeter, the bride’s cousin.The Mass was served by Michael Streeter, cousin of the bride. Traditional wedding music was rendered by David Reardon, organist and soloist. The bride’s brother sang the theme from “Ice Castles.”Maid of honor was Lucinda Foote, Woodstock, Ct, Bridemaids were Michele and Andrea Carter, sisters of the bride, Herkimer, and Melissa. Holmes, of ' Syracuse.Jon Trudeau, the bridegroom’s brother, of Putnam, Ct., served as best man. Ushering were Chris Carter, brother of the bride, Herkimer, and Kevin, Robbie, Dean, and Daryn Trudeau, brothers of the ; bridegroom, of Putnam, Ct.The bride was attired in an Edwardian-style gown in white, fashioned with a fitted bodice trimmed with Chantilly lace and pearls The Juliet sleeves featured 1 deep sheer cuffs with embroidered lace and satininsets. The full skirt fell from a basque waistline and trimmed with satin and Chqntillv lace extending into a chapel-length train. The bride designed her headpiece of Chantilly lace and pearls which held a hand-rolled silk illusion veil worn by her mother. She carried her mother’s white missal and a white rose with lace streamers.The bridakattendents wore gowns of daphne rose silk illusion styled with tiered bodices, ieweled necklines, and side-draped skirts. Deep rose satin ribbon accentuated the waistlines Baby’s breath adorned their hair. Each attendent carried a silk bouquet of rose-colored daisies, roses and mums with satin ribbons.A reception was held at the Herkimer Elks Lodge, with the wedding cake made by the bride’s sisters The bridal couple later left on a wedding trip to New Hampshire and the New England States They reside in Caribou. MeA graduate of Herkimer High School and the State University of New York at Buffalo, the bride is a graduate student in audiology at the University of Connecticut. Her husband, a graduate of Putnam High School, is employed by the United States Air Force as power production specialist stationed at Loring Air Force Base in Maine.Pre-nuptial events included showers hosted by the maid of honor, mother of the bridegroom, sisters of the bride, and the bride’s coworkers, a bachelor dinner hosted bv the best manGuests attended the wedding from Syracuse, Buffalo, Hornell, Ithaca, Dryden, Geneva, Florida, Putnam, Woodstock, Willimantic and Enfield, Ct., and valley towns.
