It was based on the Ten Commandments.102 had perfect attendance. 139 was the average attendance. 144 children were enrolled and there were 38 teachers and helpers.The Bible school offering totaled an even $100 and it will be credited toward a 16 mm sound movie projector fund. •Olson - Lewis W eddingJanice Olson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Olson, and Gayle Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Whilmer Lewis, were married Saturday, June 13, at 2:00 p.m. in a double ring ceremony at St. John Lutheran Church.The Rev. Vernon W. Fasse officiated ibefore an altar marked with arrangements of garden flowers. Pews were marked with lavender and white flowers, backed with lavender bows.Music was provided by Mrs. Richard Ramsey, accompanist, and Mrs. John Youngblut, soloist. Selections were “Oh Promise Me” and “Wedding Prayer.”The bride was attired in a ballerina length gown of nylon acetate lace over taffeta fashioned with a scalloped scoop neckline, dipped waistline and scalloped hemline, accented with sequin appliques at the sides. Her ballerina veil of white silk tulle fell from a clip headpiece. She carried a white Bible, topped with an orchid. Mr. Olson gave his daughter in marriage.Matron of honor was Mrs. Marlowe Lewis. Joyce Olson, the bride’s sister, was bridesmaid. They wore lilac gowns of acetate and nylon lace, accented with taffeta piping. Their flowers were arrangements of white pompons.Joy Johnson, Oelwein, was flower girl. Acting as ring bearer, was Randy Mack, Clermont.Marlow Lewis served his brother as best man. Byron Belden, Edgewood, was the attendant. Ushering duties were carried out by Richard Olson, Anoka, Minn., Neal Belden, Edgewood, Ted Leonard, Great Lakes, 111., and Danny Burrack. The men in the wedding party wore black suits.Mrs. Olson chose a torquoise and gold print persey with beige accessories for her daughter’s wedding. The bridegroom’s mother wore a pale orange dacron dress with white lace jacket and white accessories.Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Moser were hosts at the luncheon* in the church parlors. Mrs. Galen Mack was at the guest book and Brenda Burrack, Barbara Bis-sell, Sandra Knickerbocker, Linda Diercks and CarolDiercks assisted with gifts.Mrs. Logan Beltz cut and served the wedding cake. Punch and coffee were served by Mrs. Alfred Burrack and Mrs. Leonard Burrack, Strawberry Point. Waitresses were Karen Pierce, Lauretta Beltz, Paula Stewart and Phyllis Daisy. Katy Korners Klub prepared the lunch and had charge of reception.For traveling the bride wore lavender chiffon over taffeta dress with lavender accessories.Mr. and Mrs. Lewis will be at home on-a farm two miles north of Arlington after June 17.
