Kaufmann. of Golf Dr., became the bride of Robert B^Jl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ball, of Laurel, in a ceremony on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Venice-Nokomis Methodist Church.The Rev. John R. Sanderson, pastor, officiated at the doublering ceremony. It was performed before an altar decorated with boquets of white gladioli and white chrysanthemums. Baskets of these same flowers and palm trees entwined with white gladioli were placed in the chancel. The pews were marked with clusters of white gladioli and white chrysanthemums.A program of traditional nuptial music was given by Mrs. James A. Hightower, organist, and Mrs. M. R. Acheson, soloist, before and during the ceremony.GownThe bride, given In marriage bv her father, selected a ballerina - length gown of Chantilly lace and silk tulle over taffeta. The bodice was fashioned with a batteau neckline and cap sleeves edged with tulle. The bouffant skirt fell from a “V” waist to form a deep tulle flounce.Her fingertip veil of silk illusion cascaded from a queen’s crown of seed pearls and paillettes. She carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations and stcphanotis, centered with a pale orchid eattleya orchid and showered with satin ribbons and stcphanotis.The maid of honor, Miss Sheila Acheson, of Nokomis, a close friend of the bride, was attired in a pale blue waltz-length gown of nylon organza fashioned with a batteau neckline and crushed cummerbund forming a side drape. Her colonial bouquet was of blue carnations and stcphanotis.Best ManFrank Peterson, of Nokomis, a close friend of the groom, was the best man, while the ushers were Billy Ball, of Laurel, the grobm’s brother, and Hank Kaufmann, of Venice, the bride’s brother.The bride’s mother wore a beige linen sheath with white accessories. Her corsage was of peach-colored carnations and stephanotis. The gown of the mother of the groom was red“JUST MARRIED” — Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ball are all smiles immediately after their marriage on Sunday afternoon at the Venice - Nokomis Methodist Church. The bride is the former Karen Kaufmann and both she and her husband are graduates of the Venice High School.Old Songs, Dances Will Be Featured at Yacht Club FeteA gala evening, complete with a “walk down memory lane,” has been planned for members and guests of the Venice Yacht Club, who have been invited to attend an informal dinner - dance Saturday at the clubhouse at Venice Inlet.The festivities will get underway with a cocktail hour atand a “broom dance.” Gordon Grant, former Pacific coast newspaperman, will be the caller for thtf'Se dances.Decorations in keeping with the entertainment are being arranged by the co-chairmen for the affair, Mrs. C. C. Johnson and Mrs. John G. Meadows.
