Moncrief f-GardnerWedding Held AtPeace RiverSt. James Cathedral at Peace River was the scene of a wedding on Juno 4th at 3:30 p.m. when Miss Betty Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gardner of Reno and Mr. Roddy Nelson Moncrieff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Moncrieff of Rlbatone, were united in marriage.Dean A. E, Thain performed the wedding ceremony.The bride chose a gown of white satin with lace inserts. She carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses.Mr. A, E. Watson of Pincher Creek attended the groom and Mr. J. Lr, Younger and Mr. Robbie Radford were ushers.Mr. Frank Richardson played the wedding music.Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Younger. The bride's table was centred by a three tiered wedding cake flanked by yellow roses. Mr. J. D. Younger proposed a toast to the bride to which the groom responded.For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Gardner chose a flowered silk crepe dress. Her corsage was of yellow roses.For the honeymoon the bride change ed to a grey gabardine suit with red and white accessories and a corsage of roses.The happy couple left for Spruce Grove and Edmonton where the groom Is employed by the Pic Development Oil Company.Out of town guests at the wedding were: Miss Pearl Moncrieff, Miss Ruby Moncrieff and Mr. A. E. Watson.
