They were greatly surprised after reading the secret.The afternoon hours were delightfully spent:' Each was given a clothespin and a white paper napkin and told to dross the bride. Mrs. JOHlc Anderson received a prize tor making the prettiest bride. A musical romance was read by Mrs. Viea Anderson, accompanied at the pi a uo by Joyce Miller.A mock wedding also featured the program. Mrs. Andy Pierson was the bride; .Mihs Alice Taylor, tile bridegroom; Miss Joyce Miller, maid of honor; Mrs. Pessic Ilerrig, best man; Joyce Alice Hargrave and Norman Doan Anderson, flow cr girls. Miss Vina Hunk, pianist.The ltortnrce was presented with many lovely gifts from her friends after, which the hostesses served a delicious two course lunch. There were fifty guests present.The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Uadsby, is a very charming young lady. Slio is a graduate of Spencer high school, and also a former student at Iowa State Teachers' college, For the past two years, Mrs. Hargrave has been teaching in rural schools.Theh rldegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. (J. W. Hargrave. He graduated from the Spencer high school and also took a short course at Ames.Mr. and Mrs. Hargrave left, last v riday evening on a honeymoon trip to Minneapolis, Minn., and thence to Jilnck Hills, Yellowstone National park ami to Little Hock, Kans., where at flic hitter place they will visit relatives.
