V BEATTY - KKI SSEL WEDDINGiSt. Paul's church was the scene of a pretty wedding at 8 p. m. yesterday, when Miss Thelma Beatty became the bride of Arlie Krussell, of Petosky, Mich. The ceremony i took place in the main auditorium.which was made festive for the occasion. Baskets of yellow caliopsisplaced on oak leaves were on thealtar rail. Yellow tapers in crystal candle sticks ornamented, the chancel rail. The center candelabra in the church and the candles made a j subdued light as the bridal party entered the side entrance of the I church. Frances and Carroll Jayne, dressed in white and carrying baskets of white roses led the party.Miss Mary Hale, maid of honor wore a simple gown of peach colored georgette, with corsage of sunburst roses. The bride and her father, James Beatty, came next. The bride’s gown was white satin, draped in tulle. A tulle veil was held in , place by lilies of the valley. She (carried a bouquet of sunburst roses 1 and lilies of the valley. j lt;The bridegroom and his best man, William C. Perdew of Ottumwa, met j | the bridal party at the altar. The ring service was used, the Rev. A.M. Jayne officiating. Miss Katherine Nolan played Lohengrin's wedding march during the procession,! and played softly during the cere-mony.There was a reception in the church parlors following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Krus*«oll will spend a short time at the lak^s in Michigan and go on to West Quincy, j Mass., where they will make their ’ home. Mr. Krussell expects to attend the theological school at Bos ton university next year. He is to be pastor of the First Methodist church in West Quincy.Mrs. Krussell is well known inCedar Rapids, having been graduated from Coe college this June, where she took an active part in forensic activities. She was a member of Carleton Literary society, holding the office of president during the first half of her senior year. She was a member of the women’s debating team in the years 191S and ’19. and was on the Cosmos staff.Mr. Krussell was graduated this year fr'tti Ohio Wesleyan college and is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. i 11 i(\]
