pleasant time was enjoyed by all.Henry Atherton and Mary G Richards were united in marriage at Salem, Ind, June 10, 1858, Y'here they resided on a farm for about 15 years, then moving to Putnam county, 111 , where they purchased the^ farm on which they still live Three children were born to this union, none of whom are living, Eliza-neth Jane. William and Gertrude,the two latter dying in infancy One granddaughter, Mrs E V. Mathis,and son James were present at the golden wedding. The gathering was necessarily small owing to the poor health of the aged couple, who are respected by all who know them
