The chicken supper was served from a table laid with white damask with centerpiece of white mixed blossoms and silver wedding bells. Members of the bridal party, the parents of the couple were among the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Real Semper assisted with the service. Covers were laid for thirty.The marriage of Miss Ruth Dueser of Yorktown and Ferdinand Lee Newman of Edinburg took place Sunday afternoon in St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Alvin Bohls officiating at the double ring service. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry E. Deuser and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. andMrs. Austin Newman. all ofand satin. The bride wore gaunt*» •lets of lace and tulle and a singlestrand of pearls, a gift of thebridegroom. Her veil of illusion was edged with two rows of the lace which formed scallops and in each sea Hon were flowers of net and tulle. It fell from a cap of lace edged with the same flowers and' etched with seed pearls. She carried a white Bible on which was mounted a cascade bouquet of white carnations.Miss Ruby Reimensehneider was maid of honor. She was in Azure blue. The bridesmaids were Misses Fay Nell Metting and Verda Mae Podsim, in delicate pink. The attendants' frocks were styled indentical; nylon net over taffeta fashioned with drop shoulder and waltz length skirt, very bouffant. Their hair dress was of tulle with tiny rosebuds, they wore matching mitts and carried a nosegay of blue and pink blossoms.James Reimensehneider, cousin of the bridegroom, served as his best man. Groomsmen were Henry Borgfeld of Falfurrias and Albert Podsim. Seating the guests were Vernon Kerlick of Kenedy and Charles Feller of Nordheim; Larry Reimenschneid-er and Melvin Podsim lighted the candles. Mrs. Dueser mother of the bride was wearing an af-blaque was a ruffle of lace tulle and satin ribbon. Mrs. Victor Borgfeld, Mrs. DaltPn Borgfeld% Mrs. Paul Reimensehneider and Mrs. Albert. Podsim alternated in cutting the cake and serving the punch. During the evening the couple left for a wedding trip. For travel the bride wore a linen suit of turquoise blue with pleated skirt and fitted jacket her hat and accessories were white, completing her costume was a corsage of white carnations. After their return they will be at home in Edinburg where Mr. Newman has been with the Harkins Co. since his return from Korea where he was stationed sixteen months with the U. S.
