MISS COX AND MR. WESTBROOK MARRIED WEDNESDAY EVENING.One of the prettiest of the wedding:* of the month of June was that of Miss Bessie Louis© Cox, youngest of the two charming daughters of Mr. and Mrs.B. B. Cox, and Mr. .Tames Irvin Westbrook, which was solemnised Wednesday evening at the Government Street Methodist church. In the presence of a large gathering of interested friends and relatives, Noted among the guests present were fifteenmembers of the Mobile Lodge No, *17, Knights of Pyt.hlaiB, of which the grodm is a popular member, who‘hud attested their Interest in the wedding by sending, for the decorations of the altar, the beautiful marguerites which fairly covered It, this being the first time such a compliment has ever been paid by the lodge on such an occasion.The tall silver candelabra on either side of the satin draped predieu east a mellow glow over the beautifully •decorated altar and the pretty attendants grouped there during the wedding ceremony. Bunches of daisies tied with white ribbon marked off the places for the families and the whole was the artistic work of loving friends of Miss Cox.Prior to the arrival of the wedding party, a beautiful musical program was | rendered. Mr. Edwin Lyles Taylor presiding at the altar end rendering for the entrance of the bridal, party, Lohengrin’s wedding march, for the recessional, Mendeltaohn'a Mid SummerNight's Dream. Mr. Tom Hallett sang with much beauty, “I Love Thee,Grieg, Ml#a Viola Gaines’ sweet V' was heard in A . Love Song,” aey, and Mr.. T. H. 'Halilwell, whose singing always gives such great pleasure, rendered With You, -by Nutting. During the ceremony Mrs. Emma La Prade Tam’s beautiful lyric soprano was heard In “O Perfect Love, the program being arranged by the bride’s cousin, Mr. Hal 11 well.The ushers led the bridal party to the altar. Mr. E. Roy Albright and Mr.C. G. Westbrook, coming first, Mr. Grayson Bailey and Mr. F. M. Backes coming next, Mr. George Creary following alone, and after him the matron of honor. Mrs. Dick Lundy.
