Hewett-Burttram vows said at Berean Baptist Church9Berean Baptist ‘Church was setting for the early evening, formal ceremony when Miss Margaret Lynn Bewett and Julian Harmon Burttram Jr. recited vows. .The Rev. Haul Maughn performed (he double ring ceremony uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Hewed Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Burttram Sr.Presented in marriage by her father, the bride wore a traditional wedding dress 'of white nylon organdy in empire styling with the skirt, deeply flounced extending into a chapel train. Chantilly lace edged the neckline and emphasized the flounce. She wore the headdress first worn by tier sister and carried a colonial nosegay.Mrs. Edward Fuller served as her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Christ i Hewett, sister of the bride; Miss Ann Burttram, sister of the groom; and Miss Shan Dick of liOs .Alamos. Bobbie Baird acted as flower girl.Gary Sloman served as best man and groomsmen were Don Burttram, brother of the groom; Bud Hewett, brother of the hride, and Dave Beatty. Victor Valdez and Guy Stanke seated wedding guests. Kevin Henson carried the rings.Kelly Cross' of Lovington and Chris Harrell of Albuquerque were vocalists, Mrs. Atex Bolin,organist, and Ed Fuller, guitarist.The reception served in Fellowship Hall of the church curried out the bride’s colors of blue and white. Receiving guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jiewelt Jr., Mr. and Mrs., Burttram Sr.T the newlyweds, ,Mr. and Mrs. John R. Scott, maternal grandparents, Mrs. J.J. Hewett, Sr. paternal grandmother of the bride and Mrs. Carrie Platt, grandmotherof the groom.Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Robertson of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. II,J. Donelson of Tyler, Texas.Mr. and Mrs. Burttram, parents of Itie groom, were hosts for the rehearsal dinner entertaining some 40 guests at El Nido.After a wedding trip to Colorado Springs, the couple are at home at S25 Allendale.The new Mrs. Burttram was graduated from Lovington High School and attended New Mexico Junior College and Eastern New Mexico University in Portales where she majored in music. .The groom took his preparatory work at New Mexico Military Institute and earned his baceulaureate degree in finance from ENMU. He is employed by the Bank of Santa Fe.'
