Antone Lettelleir. j proprietor of the store, was coin-*| pelled to cut down a large maple | shade tree today in order to get f rid of the pests. •The ants wen large sized \ black ones and some were with and others without wings. The tree was close to the store and from the center of the maple the ants emerged in droves and invaded the store. After the tree was cut down a large nest of ants and larvae was found. The ants were killed by pouring several buckets of scalding water on them.Last summer a citizen of Mitchell had to call in experts from Purdue University to rid a hand-some new home he had just erected of the pests.—Blooming-uMlde
