The bride carried a cascade bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and lilies-of-the-val-ley and wore a pearl-drop- necklace and earrings, a gift of the bridegroom.Matron of honor was Mrs. Dean Basinger, who wore a blue floor-length gown haying a lace bodice, empire waist and an A-line skirt of chiffon over crepe.A matching blue lace crown decorated with seed p arls held her circular veil, and she carried a bouquet of white carnations tipped in blue. Bridesmaid was Miss j Shirley Basinger, who was dressed identically to the matron of honor except in pink. Both attendants wore short white gloves and pearl necklaces, gifts of the bride. The bride’s mother made the gowns of the bride and her attendants.Best man was Dean Basinger, brother of the bridegroom. Larry Berkey was groomsman and Richard Stevens and Larry Stevens, brothers of the bride, were ushers.The bride's mother wore a light blue silk crepe suit dress with white accessories and a white orchid corsage, while the bridegroom’s mother was attired in a pink flowered silk crepe dress with while accessories and an orchid corsage*.A reception for 250 guests was held in the church fellowship haff after the ceremony. The bride’s stable, centered with a four-tiered wedding cake, was decorated with arrangements of pink and white roses and pink tapers. Aides were Mrs. Frank Prior, aunt of the bride; Miss Rita Prior, a cousin: Miss Margaret Astolis, Nancy Welty,. Audrey Noblit and Nancy Nobljt.As the couple left for a wedding trip through northern Ohio, the new Mrs. Basinger was wearing an eggshell white shift with white accessories and her bridal corsage. They will reside at RD 2 on their return home.The bride, a 1966 graduate of OHS, is employed at Orrville Leather Hardware Corp.
