Philomena Kreutzer!Weds Leroy BerensIn SI. Fidelis ChurchliMiss Philomena B. Kreutzer and Leroy J. Berens were married June 9 in a double ring ceremony at St. Fidelis church in Victoria with Hey. Fr. Ernest officiating-. The women’s choir sang the mass with Charles Bahl, organist, accompanying. Miss Ruth Brungardt, soloist sang “Ava Maria” and “Mother at Your Feet is Kneeling” as the bride presented a bouquet of white carnations to the Blessed Mother. Mr. Fidelis Kreutzer, Victoria is the bride’s father and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Berens of Bison are the parents of the groom.The bride wore a ballerina, length gown of imported Chantilly lace and nylon tulle over bridal satin with a sculptured lace bodice fashioned with a yoke of tulle,! topped with a Queen Anne collar of 1 scalloped lace. Long tapered sleeves of lace ended in calla lily points over the wrists. The bouffant skirt JI of layers of net fell in folds from | the waist line, the over skirl being-covered with horizontal bands of wide lace insertions. Her circular fingertip veil of imported bridal illusion was held in place by a flat bridal hat of alternating ruffles of pleated tulle and lace, sprinkled with iridescents and edged with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies.Miss Irma Kreutzer, Littleton, Colo., was maid of honor for her sister. Miss Betty Rohleder and Miss Doris Pfannenstiel were the bridesmaids. Their semi-formal ballerina length gowns were of white lace over blue taffeta with matching heart-shaped hats. Cummerbunds of taffeta, having long sashes in back, topped the flaring circular skirts. They carried bouquets of pink carnations.Ronald Berens served his brother as best man and ushering were Bob Basgall, Hutchinson and Fidelis Kreutzer Jr., brother of the bride.The bridegroom’s mother wore a beige sheath dress of lace with rhinestone trim, pink accessories and an orchid corsage,A dinner for 200 guest* was served at the V.F.W. Hall at Victoria followed by a dance in the evening. A three-tiered wedding cake centered the bride’s table.For her wedding trip to the Ozarks, Mrs. Berens wore a white tweed sheath dress with green portrait collar and white accessories. The couple will live at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., where Mr. Berens is a private first class in the U.S. Army. He attended Kansas State College, Manhattan, before entering the service. Mrs.; Berens has been employed at Fortj Havs Kansas State College.
