LOCAL NEWS.T—Go (o (lie C. P. Sunday school picnic next Thursday.—Don’t forget the C. P. Sunday school picnic, at Uncle Charley Ferguson’s grove, next Thursday.The Pastor's Aid Society will meetat the C. P. church, next Wednesday, attwo o’clock, p.m.—The C. P. church bell may not be rung, Sunday, on account of the severe sickness of Mrs. Picker.—On Thursday night, the Town Board■* »elected. Mr. Clemor Pelzer, school trustee, for the town of Boonvilie.—Rev. -Homer C. Ashcraft will deliverr .an address on temperance at Center M.E. church, Saturday evening, at 8 o’clock.—Jacob Schmit’s new brick residence in the northeastern part of town is now finished. Ho moved into it on Thursday.—On next Tuesday evening, at 8:30, there will be a temperance meeting at Freedom Baptist church. Rev. Ashcraft will speak.—T. P. Tilman has appointed Guy Hoover deputy auditor. Guy takes hold of the work- as natural a:. a fish does to water.—Preaching services at the Cumber land Presbyterian church Sunday'morn* ing and evening at the usual hoursPublic invited.—Miss Patterson will give an “Elocutionary Recital ” at DeGonia Springshotel, Tuesday, June 11th. A rare treat* •»for those who attend.—The G. A. R. of Tennyson, will give a picnic at that place on the 4th of July. Good speaking and music, both vocaland instrumental. Everybody invited.*...—The Main street M.E. church La-dies’ Aid Society will meet at the home of-Mrs. Frank Harrison, next Tuesdayevening, at 8 o’cToc—Auditor T. P. Tilman, by bis annual report, shows the county debt to be $47,-705:18, less interest. That is a reduction of $2,000 during the last year.—Usual services at the Baptist church, next Sunday morning and evening. The pastor desires to see every member present Sunday, as it is our first service after dedication.—Boonvilie is one of the healthiest places in the world, only three deaths reported since Dec. 21, 1894.
