Happily Wedded.The marriage ol Mr. R. D. Houg-:iasou, of Barnesvilie, Minn., and .•Iiss Maude Kepner, of Goodell, Iowa, a ook place Thursday, at the residence v if the bride's parents in Goodell. The u lereraony was performed by Rev. F. B. iValler, and took place at high noon 'i n the presence of a goodly number of a -he relatives and friends of the contacting parties, who graced the oeca- a iioa by their presence. IThe bride was attended by her sister Miss Leah Kepner, and Mr. Fred Ai-.um, of this city, acted as best man to the groom. An .elegant wedding dinner was served fi Shortly after the ]marriage ceremony the newly married \ couple took the train for St. Paul lt;where they will spend a couple of days after which they . will proceed-, to Bartlesville, Minn., ...where . the groomThe groom, R. D. Hodgkinson, isthe son of C. W. Hodgkinson, of this city, and spent the greater share of his boyhood clays among the young people of Emmetsburg, with whom he was always a favorite. In JS9S he was a member of Company IC, and with the rest of the boys enlisted in the U. S. service, and was a member of the Fifty-Second Iowa U. S. V., and during the war was stationed at Chicka-mauga Park- He is a young man of sterling qualities, and is highly respected by all who know him.His bride, Miss Maude Kepner, now Mrs. Hodgkiason, is also well known to the people of Emmetsburg, having spent the greater share of the past six years of her life in this city. For the past two years she has been a teacher in the public schools, giving excellent satisfaction- She has the rare faculty of gaining the confidence of the chil-dred under her Instruction. She was also active in church work, being especially interested in the Epworth League work. She is a young lady of exceptional qualities of heart and mind, and was loved and admired by a host of friends.The Reporter jedns the many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Hodgkinson, in wishing them a bright, happy and prosperous wedded life.
