Felten was born Feb. 23, 1925 at ROM ( reck, the son of John B. and Elizabeth Felten.He attended parochial and public school at Rose Creek. On July 10, 1950 he married Beverly Ann Murphy at Rose Creek. He was sales manager at Thill Implement of Rose Creek, belonged to the Holy Name Society. Knights of Columbus, Adams Council and was a member of the Rose Creek Booster Club.Mr. Felten died June 5, 1968 at Methodist Hospital, Rochester. after a short illness.Surviving are his wife. Beverly: five sons, Michael. Terry, Craig, Patrick and Daniel: one daughter. Mary; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Felten, Rose Creek: four brothers. LaVerne and Edward of Austin, Arnold of Rochester, John of Rose Creek: two sisters. Mrs. Leonard Aanonson, Austin, Mrs. Joseph Carroll. Winonp; his grandmother. Mrs. Margaret Felten; aunts, uncles, niecer and nephews.Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 1968 at St. Peters Cath o 1 i c Church, Rose Creek, Rev. Paul Sainshury officiating. Interment was at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Mr. Felten was preceded in death by his father. John B. Felten.Out-of-town people at the funeral came from Phoenix. Ariz., Aurona. Fawver was born July 4, 1879, to Mathias and Johanna Nelson in Mitchell Coun t y, Iowa.She lived in the Osage area until her marriage to Jacob W. Fawver on Nov. 4. 1899. They made their home at Clear Lake, Iowa, until 1909. when they mov-ed to Freeborn County in Minnesota.In 1912, they moved to the present Fawver farm, th r e e miles west of Austin. She moved to Austin in the late 1930’s. The last four years were spent at the home of her eldest son, Myron Fawver.She passed away at St. Olaf Hospital on June 6. after a long illness. She would have been 89 years old on July 4.She was preceded in death by her husband. Jacob, in 1919, a son. Earl, in 1937.She is survived by one daughter, Hazel Notestine, Color a d o Springs. Colo.; three sons, Myron and Lloyd of Austin and Harold of Junction City, Ore.: a daughter-in-law, Mrs. A ni t a Fawver, Brownsdale; 10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.Funeral services were he 1 d Monday, June 10. 1968, at 1:30 p.m. at First Methodist Church, Rev. Thompson 1968Edwin Leland Thompson was bom May 7, 1919, on a farm near Corning, Minn., the son of Edwin M. Thompson and Alma Gunderson Thompson.He attended public school Dist. 135 and was baptized and confirmed at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church.A veteran of World War II he entered service in the U.S. Navy on April 13. 1942, and was a fireman 1st class on board the USS Candida. He received his discharge Dec. 14, 1945, at San Pedro, Calif.Mr. Thompson was a plastering contractor and a resident in the San Diego, Calif., area for 30 years. On Nov. 30, 1945, he married Dorothy Beskear at San Diego.Mr. Thompson passed away at Balboa Navy Hospital, May 30, 1968. He suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage due to a skull fracture sustained in an accidental fall on board the Ferry Boat Silver Strand on May 29, 1968.Surviving are two children, Edwin Dale of National City, Calif., and Linda Mae Chu 1 a, Vista. Calif.; two brothers, Arnold of Lakeside, Calif., Roy F. of Austin Rt. 4; three sisters, Mrs. John (Annella) Krupic k a, Austin Rt. 4. Mrs. Mayrene Torgeson, Ketchikan, Alas k a, Mrs. Shirlee Walker, Seattle, Wash.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. June 3 at Lakeside Funeral Chapel, Rev. I. J. Murray officiating. Interment was in Alpine Cemetery, Alpine, Calif. Pallbearers were Bud Sanger, David Borgesen, Alfred Underland, Olai Underland Jr., Edward Sorenson and Ray Sanger.
